I am N.R., I wrote these pages to better understand the world’s most influential religions, especially how the concept of the Mother Goddess as a symbol of the earth and of life was suppressed.The Old Testament prophets removed the Mother Goddess from the ancient Jewish religion which led to the domination of three anti-female cults: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
In all of them woman is subordinate and respect for the beauty and fertility of the planet the Mother Goddess symbolises is diminished.
Simple love and joy in life and living things has been overlaid with rules, regulations and patriarchal hierarchies.
With a cold, angry male God as supreme being the planet has been despoiled, species wiped out, rivers and skies poisoned.
Our goal should be restoring the balance between female and male ‘as above, so below’.
We work through words, images, rituals, music and feelings. We are based around our temple in Tuscany.
