In a quiet corner of Eastern Tuscany you will find a temple and a sacred grove dedicated to the Mother Goddess in her Jewish incarnation ‘ha-Shekinah’. The site was used for ritual observance as long ago as the early Roman Empire.

The Towerland is home to a project for sustainable living and peacefully contesting the ‘patriarchal-industrial complex’ that has dominated and damaged the planet for centuries. We try to examine the basics of how people relate and their fundamental beliefs. We are participants in a culture of ritual and exploration, discussion and truth-seeking.
The Towerland comprises land and buildings in Eastern Tuscany and a dispersed community of activists and collaborators.
We invite people inspired by our ideas to contact us and to visit.
You can stay with us through the Workaway volunteer program or by invitation.
